I am currently riding...Specialized S-Works Amira
My favourite place to ride is...Mt Wellington (one of Richie Port's favorites) or the Tinderbox loop (a beautiful coastal ride from Hobart that is 65km long with over 1000m of vertical climbing - my usual Saturday ride with the guys)
When I am not riding I am... Running. I also love to run and did the Sydney Marathon last year in 3:09:46 to be the fastest female across the line in my age group and 17th fastest female overall. I especially love trail running on the trails of Mt Wellington which is just out the back of our home.
I am also a wife, mother of two young girls, an engineer and a small business owner.
I started riding because...A friend that I ran with said that I should give it a go, so I did and I have never looked back. I still ride every Saturday with this guy and I owe everything I have done in cycling to him.
I love riding because...The speed and adrenaline that you get from being on the bike is like no other. You get to see and experience places that you never otherwise would. Tasmania has some of the most amazing places to ride and I just love the feeling of being out on a beautiful ride challenging myself with friends.
My favourite #HealthyCatchUp is...I love taking the women from our Women's Cycling Bunch (WCB) out each Tuesday evening leaving the bike shop. I never know who will turn up or who I will meet. I have meet some amazing women and have done some great rides with them.
My favourite healthy snack is...My energy bar that I make myself. It is yummy and provides me with the energy I need while on the bike. I have even done an ultra marathon on this alone (and water)
